Bless me, Followers, it's been about a week since my last UPDATE. I updated Thresholds and Reflections anthology, but this week's update wasn't a full story but a story part, FYI. The short stories in the collection range in length and Last Sunrise will be in 3-4 parts I think when it's all posted. So the full story should be done this month. I also need to finish my #WriteWithZo before the end of November. So, working on some short stories this month. I do need to work on The Empty World rewrites, but I got a lot of requests on my critique service thread and I think the idea that I have all these other authors waiting for feedback makes it a bit difficult to sit and focus peacefully on my own work. I mean, that's my fault, not theirs. Not sure what a solution would be for the future. I already do say I will do the reading and critiques as I have time after my other work, but I can still *feel* like there's pressure to deliver. (Not that there isn't possibly pressure to deliver updates to readers??) Irregular Verbs parts are still posting on Fridays. I don't receive any requests for content, though I said I would accept requests for types of verbs wanted. This just means it'll be a less indefinite series and will end when I post the existing/planned parts. Also, shoutout to @AWFrasier who keeps recommending my works in the SYS Story Requests threads before I even wake up and see new threads. :D If any of you were following me for Dark/Urban Fantasy that's kinda gay and somehow aren't already following Fray (who is more Wattpad famous than I am), go check out her work. <3

@KaranSeraph I'm just doing all the future readers a favour. More people need to experience Shade and Morpheus ❤️❤️❤️

Hi, are you going to continue writing the necrophiliac?
Nyx_Voss
This isn’t a read request! This is a question! Would you like to write a chapter? I have a work on Wattpad. Well, not really my work anymore. More like by multiple people. Will you like to write a chapter? Write about your belief, your religion, your worldview, if you don’t want to then write about a life lesson or about something you’re passionate about. When you finish the chapter send me the chapter either by messaging me on Wattpad. My Wattpad account is @Psalm19_14_Conner or email me at Chesster2000@gmail.com there is no deadline but I would prefer you do it before October. There is no word limit. https://www.wattpad.com/story/155316330-you-may-know-my-name-but-you-don%27t-know-my-story

I've added 'Irregular Verbs' to my reading list for writers. I found it intuitive and interesting. Thank you for fun with words.

@GerrySaunders You're welcome, and thank you for the support. If you come across any other interesting verbs, let me know. :)

I just updated yesterday, but... I changed back my banner. I realized I already had developed a consistent brand across social media with the name Karan Seraph, the symmetrical personal icon, and the dark pink banner featuring Morpheus and Opium. And if people don't get from this that I'm *that* author and artist who does the dark whimsical speculative fiction with angels then... I don't know how else to help them, because this imagery and these characters have been with me a long while. I also happen to love robots and mecha and superheros, and many of my beloved fandoms are such, but that's not what I write, especially in the case of my original fiction. So I guess if someone wants to know my brand it's generally Dark Fantasy but more specifically the more Dark Whimsy end of the DF spectrum, and often has theological or existentialist themes and often involves angels. Sometimes vampires too, of course, but not just them. It's more the whole Paranormal salad of beings that we come across in Dark Fantasy and related Speculative Fiction. This doesn't prevent me from writing a campy alternate history serial when I want a change of fictional universe.

MINI UPDATE with a brand question. I know I usually do the bug update (at least recently) towards the beginning of the month and we're not there quite yet.) I had a really busy weekend babysitting for my nieces and nephew while also trying to catch as much of the Wattcon livestream as I was able, so I did no writing and barely took note of what went on in our Community forums. I do know my critique service in the the Story Services Club had a lot of new requests come in just over this weekend. So, I feel some pressure to get through those. But, I know I also tried to make it clear in my critiques ad that I would do that reading as I had time after other responsibilities. So, I'm going to make an effort to balance my writing with reading for friends and reading for the service and also keeping up with any promoting on social media. If you caught WattCon, you may know that other than the "Wattpad is a disruptor" theme there seemed emphasis on maintaining a positive community for writers at all stages. Some of the panels they offered in the stream dealt with the whole "Writerpreneur" concept and how to build one's brand. I think sometimes I know my brand, but it's not always clear that if what I *think* my brand is is what others objectively looking in would think my brand is. What do *you* think my brand is? Like, if someone on social media wants you to say what Karan Seraph is known for as an author, what am I known for? Be honest. It's OK.
