@IDontEvenCare Thanks I love talking to young people and encouraging them. I wanted to write when I was young but had no faith in my gift. I had my first novel published when I was 52. I don't recommend waiting that long! If you want to be a writer develop your skills and believe in yourself. If God put it in your heart, then I believe no one has the right to 'take' it away! The best way to become a good writer is to read, read, read. I was educated to be an RN and did that for many years. However since you are young you can go to school and learn your craft. I had to self-teach and learn from trial and error. Keep Writing.

@Rainbowsshine - Writing is a dream that many have - but it is hard and lonely work. Like any job you need to learn the basics and sharpen your skills at every chance. The worst writers I ever met thought they knew everything and were touchy. Be open to criticism and always learning. I had my first novel published when I was 52 years old because I never had faith in my gift. I kept hiding it. Finally I gave it to a publisher and he published it! So don't give up your dream. My writing improves with each novel - so KEEP WRITING!!
