Today is my birthday. I don’t really know what a birthday is, but I guess it’s cool that I get to be older. Human has said “Happy Birthday” every time I grace her with my presence, so that’s nice. Meow meow meow. I rule the house now.

Meow meow meow. My fifth birthday (In human years, I am 36 in cat years) is in two days. Someone said I was getting to be an old man. I glared at her for a solid two minutes. Don’t disrespect me like that, you stupid human. Anyway, Human has been making more bracelets and getting mad when I play with the string.. and is also calling me Karl James. Apparently my full name is Karl James now? Anyway, I am currently being cute. Meow.

Meow meow meow. Human keeps going to watch these exploding things called fireworks. I am alone at last. Time to cause chaos.

Meow meow meow! Human is back, and she is very wonderful at giving me pets and head scratches! I sit in her room and follow her on her adventures!

Human keeps on going away from me! I can’t believe the audacity that she has to just leave me without letting me sit on them for 24/7… I do like them leaving a little bit because I can sit in their suitcase as they try to pack it. Meow meow meow.

Human’s partner’s birthday is today. I knew something was soon considering yesterday my human was going crazy. They keep on bringing up the fact that someone jumped on their head and for 15 minutes they went deaf. Um, my head gets jumped on all the time by the dog, and you don’t care! I don’t understand why Human has so many tests this week, and why she’s constantly so stressed. Like, um, this would all go away if you would just pet me and give me head scratches, please! Also, my big back (I learned that term from Human) sister keeps stealing my food. Tsk, tsk. Norene clearly does not know who is the superior cat!
