I am a writer, a dreamer, a story-weaver. I am a voracious reader and a prolific writer. I am very much attracted to anything containing dragons or fairies; I am a staunch supporter of quality writing, poignant prose, and compelling characters. I love stories that engage my mind as well as my imagination. My passion is to spread the awareness and support of good, strong literature wherever I can.
I believe that a good story has three predominant features: Firstly, that even the most whimsical premise and the most helter-skelter plot still carries with it a respect for the art and a regard for the gravity of making one's mind known to the world. I take even my fanfiction very seriously.
Second, good writing contains an even balance of action and development. The lulls between the "exciting bits" are still well-treated and carefully maintained, so that the energy doesn't flag, and also so that key moments of character development are not glossed over in favor of the "stabby-cutty-slashy" displays.
Finally, good writing will enhance the reader's interaction with the real world, instead of detracting from it. Literature should be a tool to improve one's surroundings, not just a forum to whine about injustice and offer no kind of solution to it. Good writing, no matter what genre, format, fiction, or nonfiction--must necessarily intend to give the reader something to consider. In that way, the literature remains timeless and enjoyed for many generations, instead of read and left behind as a popular fad. This is the kind of writing I like to read. This is also the sort of writing I strive to produce.
