yesterday deep in night, I had a realization. Perhaps, Mahabharat was meant to be, it happened therefore. But the Mausala Parv, which happened, the bloody war among Yadus, was actually unforseen for them. They were just bunch of Princes who were human and were messed up. Due to their ego, they could not ask for fatherly love, or mentorship or even help from the very person who gave gita. Like you have ocean next to you, and you are looking for water source to survive.
The elders failed to guide the princes, so what could Krishna do? He also had his limitations and could not be the divine all the time. Perhaps the princes were not able to see past his divinity and touch his human side. Perhaps they had become too full of themselves, they had missed seeing their flaws or reflect on it and it evetually it led to their downfall.
The curse of Gandhari was just a catalyst, not destiny or fated. If the Yadus had just got in the line of dharma, managed to understand their shortcomings, then the effect of the curse would have reduced to alot of extent. Anhankar which had got instead the Yadu kul was the very reason Mahabharat was destined. That is what Krishna was trying to show the world but his own family could not understand the fact anhankar leads to war.
