Having retired from the public service, I am working hard to make my mark as an independent researcher and novelist.
I've written two fantasy novels and a few short stories so far, and will soon be trying to find publishers for all of these while writing several sequels.
I'm a person of many interests ranging from Ancient History to Astronomy.
My special academic interests include Medieval Arthurian Literature, Alexander the Great, Roman History - especially Augustus, Phenomenology and Nexialism.
I'm also a keen traveller, and like taking photos of birds and other wildlife. Outside Australia, my favourite cities are Paris, San Francisco, and Edinburgh.
I'm into classical music from Beethoven to Shostakovich, and I'm a great fan of Wagner's Ring Cycle in particular.
My favourite authors are Stephen R Donaldson, J R R Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Elizabeth George, Dorothy L Sayers, and Colin Wilson.
