I began my writing career freshman year of high school with a laughably confusing draft of a prologue of a novel, the length of which I frankly had no idea. Over the years I have been working on that one novel, finishing three "books" of it around senior year. Around junior to senior year I was most active on Wattpad, but since then I have chosen to back off. A lot has changed, and I intend to publish in a location that will draw some attention (not that Wattpad doesn't). You know; start small, get bigger. The usual writer dance.
Five years and countless drafts later, I've decided to change my approach to how the novel series I've been working on gets off the ground. Suffice it to say that my literary journey has been fraught with new friends with lots of constructive criticism, obstacles, and the ceaseless gallop of college living. That includes starting up a student chapter of a Writer's Guild where people read and constructively criticize each other's fiction.
That's been my evolution as a writer. I continue to forage ahead in the writing world and understand that I like half of literature more than it ought to be liked, and the other half less than it deserves.
