I'm trying to find a book I read before but can't remember the name or find it in my reading lists. The story is about a young woman whose parents died in a house fire, the parents or just her mum were French, when she was a child, she was adopted by her uncle, later find out the uncle had them killed and had the will changed. Her uncle, his wife and daughter abuse her but their son who is unaware of the abuse treats her like a sister, she works for the uncle in what was her father's company as an assistant. He arranges a marriage with a business associate's son for his daughter but the son changes it to marry the adopted daughter instead. Any ideas, it's driving me crazy!
