I'd rather read a book rather than go to a party. I'd rather read a book than talk to someone saying nonsense. I'd rather read a book than flirt with guys. And that makes me an introvert and bookworm. ;)
I'd rather stay in my own world and be with the characters. Dream that someday, somehow life will end up perfectly and with happily ever after.
