My writing process usually begins with a perfectly normal idea, an honest attempt at comedy, and the firm belief that everyone is going to have a good time.
Somewhere along the way, things take a wrong turn. Feelings happen. Trauma appears uninvited. Characters start making increasingly questionable decisions for surprisingly understandable reasons. Before I know it, everyone's suffering emotionally.
Don't worry, though. I generally believe in happy endings. I just make my characters earn them first.
My stories wander freely across genres-romance, fantasy, horror, thriller, mythology, science fiction, and occasionally whatever specific thing I desperately wish existed on-screen but may never get to see.
I love writing strong women, found families, slow-burn relationships, adventure, mystery, and people who absolutely should have communicated sooner but chose chaos instead.
There will be action.
There will be romance.
There will be emotional damage.
There will probably be at least one character who desperately needs therapy.
And somehow, despite all evidence to the contrary, everything usually works out in the end.
