Major life experiences is in Kimberly's life are meeting her best friend in kindergarten and staying friends until present day. She started seeing a counselor in second grade to help with her depression and it helped with her shyness, as well.
Two major turning points in her life are seventh grade and ninth grade. In seventh grade, she learned how big of a role that money plays in everyday life. Also, in ninth grade she learned who her friends are. Another one of her friends, that she met in fourth grade, split off and no longer were friends.
Kimberly advocates for women's rights and the importance of science. She believes in equality for both genders in everyday life and in the workforce. She wants to be a scientist, so she strongly believes that science is super important and doesn't receive the good name that it deserves. Science is all around us and should be of greater importance in schooling.
In her spare time, she plays soccer and runs cross country. She also participates in Science Olympiad, an extracurricular activity at school. So, she expands her love of science. She loves reading and writing because it's an escape from reality. She likes authors such as: Kimberly Derting, Lisa McMann, and Cornelia Funke.
