You know, I think it's best to say that not all horror slasher needed a franchise to begin with. When it comes to sequels, we're talking about like "Scream" (2022), "Halloween" (2018), "Candyman" (2021) and others...
But this one? It is better than "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" (2006), but this one is not a terrible one. It has moments with the good kills and good seeing the return of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. as Julie and Ray.
Once again in the requels, we now focused on brand new characters. I thought the new cast are fine, Madelyn Cline is the best part of it. Chase Sui Wonders is another good actress.
It went on a pretty good pace, but the humor doesn't land where I just don't have one chuckle. I don't mind that one twist which I can buy, but the 2nd twist of the movie is sadly what let me down for the movie. I just can't believe that Jennifer Kaitlyn Robinson went with that route, and she also wrote the damn movie. Oh, that's right... she also wrote that piece of terrible, "Thor: Love and Thunder."
At the end of the day, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (2025) is just a mid movie, but with good kills, Madelyn Cline and Chase Sui Wonder's performance, Jennifer Love Hewitt return and that's what I got. I just hate that 2nd twist and the climax was just so anticlimactic.
