I write under the pen name L.J. Arden - mostly dark romance, suspense, thrillers, and emotionally messy love stories, all powered by optimism, usually with a happy ending and a healthy amount of sarcasm.

Introvert by nature, I'm happiest buried in books or scribbling in the corner of a quiet, slightly dusty bookshop (or tracking down libraries while traveling).

Currently based in a sleepy, historic European capital with my husband and son - usually plotting, writing, caffeinating, or planning our next slightly over-organized escape.
