Can I just say out of all the people I follow on here I have so much respect for @catchlukeonfire .
          
          I’ve never seen such an ally like her on my mutuals. And that’s not to disregard anything anyone else is doing. 
          
          Wattpad is a community I love. I love reading and writing, it’s a platform for people to share their thoughts, stories and fantasises. But when it comes to reality ... there’s a buffer. 
          
          Everyone can jump on here to talk about 5sos or whatever is going on in their lives, and I love that, I’ve done that, but when it comes to global humanitarian issues, I wonder if anyone even cares. 
          
          And if my words have triggered you already then take that energy and read her book on how to be anti-racist. 
          
          She’s recognised her privilege and the platform she has, and has used that to make a difference. 
          
          Wattpad is a platform that I have one of the smallest followings on but I still have tried raised awareness on here. It doesn’t matter what following you have. Everyone needs to do more, including me. 
          
          Even if one person reads this and they’re like: Hm maybe I should go and read this book. That’s a start. 
          
          @catchlukeonfire is showing her support towards BLM in any way she can. And I’m showing mine towards her by urging you to read the book. 
          
          Idc if you’re not from the UK btw, every death in the US and elsewhere caused by racial discrimination has affected me just as much from here in England. 
          
          Problems here should be acknowledged. This country is more than just tea and one direction.

          Imagine this murder is being referred to as a “tragic incident” .
          
          Imagine if the child was white. And the kids involved were all black. All hell would break fucking loose. 
          
          Imagine being  black, Muslim and a girl in the racist, islamophobic and sexist UK.
          
          She was only in year 7. YEAR 7. She had her whole life ahead of her. 
          
          People come to the UK for opportunities man, for a better life. And look at the shit that happens. 
          
          Absolutely disgusting.
          
          I hate being in this world man.

          The UK is racist af. Don’t get it twisted. Please click the link above for a woman called Belly Mujinga who was spat on by someone and was then infected with covid-19, she later DIED. She has a young daughter who is now motherless. 
          
          They have closed the case on this due to “lack of evidence”. When If I even so much as turn my head when I’m in the underground I can see a bloody camera. 
          
          But a police officer was spat on by someone who allegedly had corona and the person got sentenced to 12 months.
          
          And yes, the police officer is Caucasian.

          I’m so tired of people ignoring things just because they can’t relate to it or it doesn’t concern them. People can protest for so many other things but when it comes to race, there’s just “can’t believe it, so sad”. 
          Tired of privilege blinding so many people that they don’t see that because they are human it is their problem too. 
          
          WHITE PRIVILEGE is a thing. 
          
          And if you take offence to that, then I think you need wake out of your cotton wool protected life and take a good look at yourself.  
          
          Feeling sorry isn’t enough. Frowning and then getting on with your day isn’t enough.
