I'm working on the next chapters of A Fairy Curse, and this award looked so pretty that I just had to enter the fairies. I hope they make a good impression and add some wholesome chaos. Shoutout to the host!

Hiya! This is Raven here on behalf of the Birthday Bash Awards!
I wanted to say congratulations on securing 1st Place in the Best Ongoing category!
As you can probably imagine, I've had quite a few prizes to give out for a contest with that many people xD, but now that the contest's done and I've finally settled down a bit, I'm here to ask you about one of the prizes!
One prize is a mini interview (3-5 questions + a wrap-up question), and said interview will primarily be about the winning story, A Fairy Curse (albeit with potential questions about your profile as a whole, too).
Before I begin crafting the questions, I wanted to ask: are you okay with being interviewed by me?
This interview will be conducted asynchronously at your own pace with no time limit or min/max word count, so you can say as much or as little as you'd like. No need for private communication either; I will post a Google Doc link here on Wattpad, and then you have free reign to answer at your own pace! I'll check in after about two weeks to give a nudge and keep it on your radar, but there's no time limit at all. You also don't have to do anything right now and can save it for a different time if you are busy!
It will be published in my interview book, so you can see examples of previous interviews there!
If this sounds okay with you, I'll proceed to share a few more details about the interview and then dive into making the questions. If not, no worries at all! You'll still receive all the other prizes.
Either way, I look forward to hearing from you, and congratulations once again!

@Ravendipity Take your time! I've got two weeks of work travel coming up in June and won't be able to check in here a lot. And thank you again for the opportunity! The interview is a great motivation to polish up my profile a bit and finish the next two chapters of "The Fairies". I've been meaning to get back to writing this story for a long time (but a war got in the way, and then the ONC, and then a story idea that fit a more catastrophic mood.) The last two Fairy chapters were a bit gloomy, and I'm still trying to get back to the usual wholesome tenor of it. I'm currently rereading and doing minor editing , and then I'll finish the new chapter and try to answer your questions as soon as possible. Have a good time on Wattpad and outside of it! <3 You're really awesome!
Ravendipity
@LemonyFrank You don't have to apologize! My mb notifs are inconsistent, so I understand on a personal level how that feels xD I didn't even get a notif for this and had to manually check ;-;. And awh, that's heartwarming to hear. Thank you for your kind words! I'm always happy to help the community! We're all writers, and we're in this together. I'll start making the questions and will get back to you when I finish! This process can take anywhere from two days from two weeks, so I'll keep you in the loop! If you have any questions for me about the interview process at any point, let me know and I'm happy to answer!
LemonyFrank
@Ravendipity Hi! Sorry, I've only just seen your message. I'm really happy to hear from you! The encouragement you gave me is something I still draw on today, and I really admire the work you do for the community. Of course I'd be interested in the interview. Ask away! (Sorry again, but this message board can be quite a blind spot. I don't receive many messages, and if I do, they don't show up in my notifications.)

Okay, listen. I have this thing where I get tipsy without having had a single drink. It happens when I have a silly idea. On rare occasions, the Open Novella Contest comes along at that very moment, and then a novella might come into being.
This is not the Were-Frog idea that lives rent-free in my head (why always wolves?) nor the Mediterranean Vampires idea (why always Eastern Europe and allergic to sunlight?). - This is something else.
May I introduce to you: Adam's Apple.
"A world where croaky voices, loud sneezing, and loose change falling out of pockets are considered laughable is not a man's world. But here we are. In this world, men undergo voice breaking once a month for several days due to a cyclical decline in testosterone levels. The associated prejudices have meant that men rarely pursue public professions, with less than 20% of politicians, business leaders, or television presenters being male. Beau wants to change that. His confidence grows when he is hired as a staff member on a presidential campaign that has the historic goal of bringing the first man into the highest office. A small step for Beau, a giant leap for mankind. Little does he know that his presence will ruin everything."

Thanks for the follow <3

What's going on with the fairies? I haven't forgotten about them—I pinky promise! It's my favorite project and I'll be damned if I don't finish it. Someone has to tell the truth! I just have a lot of work right now. It's freelance, so sometimes it's an awful lot at the same time, and other times a complete drought. The last months, it was a two parallel projects that included writing a lot, and they really used up all my writing energy. But I hope to be able to dive back into the fairy world soon.

@mygoodbones Oh, thank you so much! That's such a nice thing to say (and hear)! I'm really looking forward to reading another one of your books, when I have more time. It's so good to know there's much more to discover! Things have been quite crazy lately. If life ever offers you the opportunity to move to the Middle East for a while. Don't do it! Or only if you want to bet on Polymarket on whether the airport will reopen before the kerosene runs out.

@LemonyFrank Don't worry and take you time. Busy is one thing, but sometimes things just need to bounce around in your head for a while to take proper shape :)

@LemonyFrank take your time, no rush! life gets in the way sometimes. I am excited for the next chapter whenever you find the chance to write it!

I wrote two chapters to explain why the former Canadian Prime Minister has sex with Katy Perry! You're welcome!
The only thing you need to know: In my book, fairies offer people one wish in exchange for a bad sex life. (You'd be surprised by how many people take the deal.)
After a fairy was demoted for granting Donald Trump a wish, the fairies try to stay away from politics. Trump only wished for his hair to stay the same, but that might have helped him win the presidency. The fairies aren't allowed to interfere to this extent and have put their business operations in the US on hold for now, but they're still very active in Canada. That's how Joy, a live-in caregiver from the Philippines, had a peculiar wish granted. Her wish was basically Justin Trudeau fan fiction. (I know, right?)
If you're curious about the life of a live-in caregiver and the whole "Perrydeau" thing, have a look at chapters 16 and 17.
p.s. You read it here first!

@LemonyFrank Where are youuuuuuuuu? Doing well???? New chapter when? (I have no right to ask that, I know but I couldn't help.)
LemonyFrank
Dear writing companions, The fairies got stuck in a mix of job application writing, family visits, visa stuff and the seasonal flu. However, the author plans for November to see more chapters than October.

A fairy walks into a bar and promises a young journalist to help with her career in exchange for a bad sex life. It looks like the fairy was recently demoted for doing the same deal with Donald Trump.
That's it. Sue me.

Dear Fairy Friends,
I'm still on "vacation", but I finished a Wattpad book on a 7hrs train journey (my wanting to read list is waaay too long), and I found this award on another author's message board. It looks like a really nice community, so have a look, too!

OUT OF OFFICE NOTE: To whom it may concern. The author of the fairies is on vacation. The kind of vacation that involves family and old acquaintances. The kind of vacation you need a vacation after. That makes you wonder if there's a fairy curse that causes everyone to offer you improbable amounts of food and unwanted advice. This is me blinking twice. I am held hostage by my past. Things will only get worse. I'm only three days in (out of 15). "You do what now? Write stories about fairies?" I'm writing about you. All of you. Dickheads (m/f/x)!

@ LemonyFrank Hello, I hope you're having a great day. I've been writing a book for a long time, for years. I supported your story. Can you help me too?
