"All it takes is twenty years. A writer doesn't need to experience anything past twenty, because they have already experienced more than enough to lead the creative lifestyle."
-Flannery O'Connor

After reading this quote a few years ago, two questions have bounced around my consciousnesses like an old windows-screensaver ever since.

Question number one: Does this mean I should be able to interpret my life events into some euphoric story by now? Or, question number two: does it just mean I was destined to face enough bullshit by now, that at least one good story should come of it?

I started writing to find the answer to those questions. I keep writing because I still don't have a clue to the answer. I don't think I ever will.
