I love the medieval fantasy genre. I am inspired by Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, English history, thick forests, nature, witches and good old fashioned fairy tales. I loved writing as a kid and now I thought I would try my hand at it again. My first effort, The Lamp Post, is now complete.  I will welcome any feedback,  good or bad,  but please be gentle with me!! 😁 The story is inspired by a dream I had during lockdown. I was at a crossroads and three black holes appeared. One led to Middle Earth, one to Narnia and the third to Westeros. I had to choose which one I would like to disappear into (I will let you guess!?😉). After that, I kept thinking about how someone from our world would cope being unexpectedly pulled into another realm. From that, The Lamp Post came alive in my imagination. Even though the story is tagged as fantasy, first and foremost, it is a tale of unexpected love. The first half of the book, is more character and world building, the second half will have more adventure. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it ❤
