Nearly everyone alive today was asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" And nearly every one of them changed their aspirations as they journeyed to adulthood- from princesses and superheroes to ballerinas and pilots, to fashion designers and engineers.
When I look back now I realize I was always a little different than most, because from the age of five until this very moment the only thing that changed about my original aspiration was the depth and breadth of it: from- I want to write stories! to- I want to write books! to- I want to be a fictional novelist! to- I want to write entire worlds into existence that provide a fantastic escape from the mundane; to create characters that are so real a part of me believes I wrote them into being and they exist out there somewhere...and finally I have done just that.
Excited to be here, can't wait to meet other authors on this incredible journey!
