Oh wow! How exciting! Are you enjoying your new job? That would certainly make finding time to write difficult. 
            I just got engaged, and am getting married this summer, so I am incredibly busy.

I'd expect some kind of happy ending, a picnic scene maybe with the family possibly. That's what some of the other books do, but I read this quote that said, "Find out what the readers expect, then do the opposite." So maybe instead have a really high-stress situation that involves someone getting hurt, but at the very end have an exchange of love words that makes everything alright.
