I am me.
A human. A simple existence of independent self-reflection. I can...conceive, I can innovate, I can imagine. And as a human, I am allotted a subconscious in which I can express in the real world.
I must ask myself several things in my lifetime.
First I must learn what to trust. As a child, I will spend my entire lifetime experimenting, calculating. I will get burned a few instances during this process, sometimes all the way down to the bone. But if I choose to end this process, I am a failed experiment.
Second, I must conceptualize a personal identity, something to give me distinction, so I don't find myself appearing in the mirror as no more than a hollow shell, filled to it's cusp with conventions dictated by those I perceive as, 'the enemy.' I will make bad choices, but they will not have a lasting impact. If they do, I am a failed experiment.
Third, I must learn to handle my own needs. Some learned this at an earlier age than I did, but I was still offered a head start. I will provide for myself, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physiologically, I will disconnect from those around me, but I will persevere, and I will learn from their mistakes. If I choose not to, I am a failed experiment.
Lastly, I must learn to handle isolation and loneliness. Some will choose to turn to substitutes, I however, will not. I will grow something of my own, cultivate it with gentle care, a reflection of myself. A semblance of hope, out of the desperate need not to be forgotten or ignored. I will make myself go far, because I was never a failed experiment.
No one is, they simply are.
Trapped by the conventions they set upon themselves.
I exist as an entity of myself because that is who I am. Not an experiment, not as something defines by others. Me.
And I will go far into this existence.
