Ok, quick question; Why does nearly every boyxboy story always have someone being abused by their mother or something or just a tragic backstory in general? I mean, come on! It's practically the same thing over and over again... Bottom boy has tragic lifestyle, he meets hot bad boy at school, bad boy confesses, yadda yadda yadda.
          
          If it's well developed, sure, go right ahead but if the person's just being beaten for no good reason, I doesn't work. It's not very effective. In fact, it becomes boring and cliche. So why put it in your book?
