If pokemon were real- and I am well aware of how many of you degenerates would react to it.. but on the main point I wish to get to, if pokemon were and we have normal as$ people become trainers. Which type of of pokemon you'd be running? Along with who would be your main go to? Third question is optional, which pokemon would be an exception to the types you use?
For me, ghosts types. Main front runner would be Chandelure and for the exception, Sylveon. Chandelure to burn away the souls of anyone who bugs the crap out of me, Sylveon is straight up my therapy animal... poor thing gonna be working over time and stressed out
@Lord_of_Dawn hard to see , at least 3 types come to mind that i'd want to kind of main for either of them , arcanine would be the exception . you get the benefits of a dog , but it's like 6'4 from paw to head , breathes fire and has sort of super speed

I believe most weaknesses of the supernatural, are nothing but a psyop to get people combat corruption (diseases)
Vampire weaknesses or most weaknesses of some supernatural beings. But using vampires as a brief example with silver and garlic, silver although werewolves weakness as well. Silver is an antibacterial metal, while garlic has plenty of health benefits. But the main thing however i wish to focus on, is fire. Because in old folklore, was that vampires are made from unfortunate deaths; but the main one is diseases. Death by an infection or disease, you're a vampire. So people will burn your body or dig it up and burn it. Which burning bodies have reduced spread of infection, as in the case of the black death.
Before anyone ever says the idea is a bit of a reach, and that "not everyone was an idiot, to believe in such things". Many people in the US believed injecting disinfectant to be the cure for the damn virus in 2020. All because of our damn president, whom we voted out of office. But his as$ is back. But before anyone else points fingers, many idiots also believed 5G towers were the cause of the virus and others thought the vaccine was an attempt to put tracking devices in us.
People are willing to believe in anything, anything that makes sense weird perception of reality they have. And many would definitely abuse that, for the better or the worst
@TheWitchMaiden right, but in those days. It was hard to explain things to people. It would be like you going back into the medieval ages and found a spot contaminated with high amounts of radiation. Do you simply tell the people what radiation is or just say the place is cursed by a demon, so that they don't go over their and die a slow painful death
@Lord_of_Dawn supernatural lore in context to being about real diseases is such a fun topic ^^ I just wish it was a topic that was only applicable to older times, but nowadays people are just... dumb despite having all the tools to not be dumb TT
@Combatmoster44 it is? Well vampires aren't the main focus of this, mainly diseases and how people made up ideas to combat "evil". Fire works on folklore Ghouls and sunlight, but UV rays have typically been the bane of most bacteria. But Ghouls aren't born from diseased riddled deaths, but supposed genuine spawns of Satan or just a jinn. But having to despose of them in fire is still a common with some undead things in folklore
Been knee deep on vampires again, although with my account. It seems constant, but out of anything though; it lead me to the thought of what I would hate about being one.
The only thing is, I would hate about is the following.
1: I can't have normal food anymore
2: can't work out (my figure isn't terrible, just i have the body meant to build muscle properly. But I don't really do much beyond work)
3: spending eternity alone (I enjoy being alone, but knowing there is at least an end to it. Brings a level of comfort compared to eternity)
But those are the only things that I would hate about being a vampire, many would say not seeing the sun. But that is overrated, given the fact that most our time spent in the daylight hours; is only just work or chores. Which is why most of us have messed up sleep schedule, because only in the night; do we have the freedom from obligations to spend our hours as we please. Which is why I don't think putting "missing sunlight" as one of the things I would hate. But what about you though, what would you hate about facing an undead eternity?

@-break_me- If it is World Of Darkness vampire, probably not all that bad. Depending who i make enemies out of, but basically the standard vampire from folklore
@Lord_of_Dawn though it would still be depressing as hell , there are work arounds for the first 2 blush of life let's you enjoy the taste and such of actual food and drink temporarily if you're lucky , you either have visscitude or can find someone with it to sculpt your body

@Lord_of_Dawn I'm regards to the prince , some mage avatars activate when put under the effect of mental powers , so kazuyuki is probably dead if someone uses dominate on her , because then her avatar is going to attack the user and then in turn kazuyuki probably gets absolutely mulched by the vampire because she may be able to incinerate them , but it takes her a few moments to actually get the fire spell active and any half decent vampire is probably faster than her
@Lord_of_Dawn kazuyuki lowkey would be super cautious around valeria , because her father was a lasombra
would our dear nun elder appreciate a young , traumatized , mage woman who's a runway from a terrible past , trying to find her place in the world ?
@-break_me- that and the mage would be hunted by others instead of the prince. The Prince would use her as a pet; Anarchs would try to get her on their side. Sabbat, well is the Sabbat and the garou staying in uninhabited forest. Hunters can be a problem, but there are two major threats to mages living in the shadows of the city
@Lord_of_Dawn she's good at covering tracks , she'll just need to deal with the potential masquerade breach of harbouring a mage that knows at least the basics of vampires
