James Cameron Avatar movies, something that bugs the crap out of me. Not because of the whole Na'vi and human war thing, picking a side and all that. Something that bugs me to no end, is the fact that Pandora of all places in the first movie was the main focus for a resource. Like humanity glossed over the fact that meteorites are a thing, which some of them contain minerals and even water. Also the fact that other planets exists besides Pandora, could be obviously harvested. Or go in the ways of Dead Space, Planet Cracking. And most planets in Dead Space wasn't even habitable planets for humans at all. Just planets for mining
So the main thing is, James Cameron world builds and glaze the crap out of the Na'vi. But doesn't explain why humanity chose Pandora as a last ditch effort for resources in the first movie, no exploration upon the dead ends that humanity reached for resources or failed attempts to do so. All it just gives me the impression that humanity was like "Pandora is the only place that exists in this vast and infinite universe of unimaginable possibilities... let's mine that sucker instead". If he said it was the corporations were the ones to make that brain dead descion for all of humanity.. I'd believe it, just look at most things from corporations nowadays. I don't doubt most those people would sell their grandmother's for a nickel
