Trying to finalize another Vampire in the WOD OC book, stumbled upon a discipline called "Heart of Darkness" which allows the vampire to remove their own heart; to make themselves immune to being staked. So long as they can stash it in a safe place.
          
          Which i can imagine for a mortal, if they somehow got with the vampire; it would be weirdly romantic and fuck3d up. That they literally give you their heart, so you can keep it safe for them.. for any other supernatural, it's a Tuesday and probably still romantic

Because they have a ridiculous degree of grit to live, let alone survive on their own planet; even more so having to fight the Empire
