Saw a video today, called Talk Nerdy to Me.XD

Penny for thoughts, but if someone travels back in time to fix something and they succeed, their timeline is eliminated right? And since the timeline is eliminated, they don't exist because they didn't have to fix the past, which reopens their timeline and a cycle forms. So then, how is it that every time traveling person in comics/tv shows/movies (excluding the Doctor) exists after their timeline is eliminated?

I know you guys probably won't say anything, but what kind of a person do you think I am? (Guy or girl, age, whatever else you want to guess or say. Oh and anyone who knows me IRL obviously can't answer.) Thanks
