Brief Hiatus

I authored 17 books under the names Jessica, Sonja, Gina, Sadie, Hazel and Clara. They aren't just pen names to me. Some allow me to keep my identity a secret and write as I please. Others are tied to themes that I can't get away from. (Gina and Sonja are now retired).
Jessica Gallant writes religious books (all published IRL)
Sonja wrote fantasy romance (published IRL)
Gina wrote romance (AND FAILED LOL)
Hazel writes horror
Sadie wrote Poutine
Clara writes those I need to keep hidden from those I know IRL
And Jessica Machghoul is me. Well, Gallant is my maiden name.

My family is full of dark (rather fucked up secrets) and from that I have gained inspiration- or more accurately, fodder to write my real life. My children- now young adults are my muse.

Five years ago, I began writing in earnest and it has continued again now.
I am neurodivergent.
I am a trauma survivor.

I dissociate like it's nobody's business. Sometimes I don't know who is writing or talking- and I suppose thats why I understand my characters so deeply. I'm shy AF and have a hard time making eye contact and holding a conversation. I despise small talk. Grammar and tenses are death.

I'm not a perfect writer.
I'm not a perfect person. But you're welcome here.
