I started writing my first real story in the fifth grade. It was supposed to be a masterpiece titled, The Eyes Of Janet Malone. As you can expect, I got approximately three pages in before I was bored. Not only was I in fifth grade and it would have read like a fifth grader wrote it, but it was about a misunderstood teenage girl with telekinesis who gets bloody revenge on her bully peers at the end. I'd never heard of CARRIE at that point. That's my earliest memory of trying to write and while it never made it past those first three pages, it was the beginning of a lifelong passion.
I've completed one novel, Mr. Long Said Nothing, which was originally written as stage play, a second stage play - a comedy called, Friends Like You, and a musical.
My tales tend to lean toward the supernatural, but are always mostly family friendly, so you can feel comfortable letting your kids read them, but that doesn't mean they're children's lit.
By day, I'm a professional artist, traveling all over the southeastern United States rendering fine art on black granite gravestones. You can view my etchings and other artwork at www.blackstonarts.com
Enjoy the stories.
