They really glorify writing. You'd think we're a bunch of coffee connoisseurs  who see beauty in everything, people with happy strings of poetry always dancing through their heads. Then we drink ourselves to death for no good reason. It's less like being enraptured by the Human Condition, more like being enslaved by it. We're stuck with the blood-sucking process of documenting everything we see.
