IMPORTANT UPDATE
          
          Hi everyone,
          I know that I haven’t updated in quite a while and that my story has remained stagnant these past few months. However, that doesn’t mean that I’ve stopped working on it. 
          
          I’ve recently done my own road trip through South Africa, visiting the sites that my characters will and reading up about the South African War. Unfortunately, it seems that stories get lost in translation and the actual information at the battlefields do not correspond with that found in history books. 
          
          I have therefore decided to rewrite my story. I would not be able to continue with something that is historically inaccurate. Some chapters may remain the same, others won’t, but the crux of the story will not be altered. I feel a bit saddened to remove it, but the new chapters should start to come up soon. 
          
          Thank you to everyone who has read my story thus far. I have felt so very blessed by all the support given to me!

          So, I realize I’ve been absolutely MIA for a while. Unfortunately, it is crunch time and my thesis is due in the next few weeks. I am therefore frantically typing my life away just to get it done. When I hand in my thesis and close off this chapter of my life, I will be able to focus on LAW again. Until then.

Mayday, mayday! My computer has been compromised... or in other words hacked. 
          
          I took it in for repairs today and now I can only pray that they won't be forced to wipe the machine (cause that'd be awkward seeing as I didn't back up my newest chapters for LAW). 
          
          This is a major setback for me and the story. My heart is practically in my shoes. So, please keep your fingers crossed.

Hello! 
          I made some minor changes to Chapter 10 -Spioenkop (Part I). I bought a new book on the war at a second hand shop today and after I read it, I filled in the chapter with some more substance. Nothing major. The ending is a bit different  though, Alastair's criticism of the planned attack is explained more in depth and Gerhard and Abraham seem to misplace some vital items that they would have to make due without.

Just returned from my extraordinary road trip around South Africa and Namibia. I am thus recovering in my bed with coffee and Wattpad. Let the writing commence!

          Just a heads up: I won't be able to update for a while. Exams hit me like a train at full steam and I'll be leaving soon for my own little road/field trip around sunny South Africa. It is unfortunately not inspired by our two main spitfires, but I will definitely still be jotting down inspiration for the story as we go.
