Hey all - just wanted to give you a quick update as to where I am with updates. 
          
          I was super excited to get into the summer because that meant more time to write, but unfortunately I failed to consider the fact that ALL of my college applications just opened up. Writing's been put on the back-burner all summer so that I could focus on college essays, and unfortunately I'm only about half way done with them (b/c God forbid I could just apply to places that accept common app! ). 
          
          On the bright side, my goal is to get all of them completed by Friday, which means less writing distractions, but guess what starts up 3 days after that? That's right folks: SENIOR YEAR! 
          
          So updating is unfortunately going to continue being sporadic, as it will probably be for the rest of my life (which is even more unfortunate, because as hard as it is sometimes, I love writing for you guys). 
          
          So anyway, thank you all for being so great and patient. I'm currently half way through the draft of Chap. 7 of Woman in Red, but as I said, college comes first.

Good evening all. I just wanted to quickly share the story of a brave little boy from my community named Alex. 
          
          Alex was diagnosed with leukemia a little over a year ago. His brother, Brandon, is a fellow ROTC cadet, so the news was hard to swallow for my unit. In February, I had the privilege of meeting the little guy at a pep rally at his elementary school. I was commanding a platoon of cadets who came to support him as he prepared to face more cancer treatment. He was probably the bravest young man I've ever met. He always had a smile on his face (I guess that's why they called him "Smiles"), and with the support of his family, he started a program called "Alex's Lambs for Life," which donates lambs to children facing cancer treatment as a way to help support and heal them throughout chemotherapy. 
          
          Alex became heaven's newest angel last night, and it's hit my community hard. His family has vowed to continue his legacy by continuing "Lambs for Life" in his memory. I know it's tough for some, but if any of you lovely people have a stuffed lamb or some extra cash that you could spare to buy one, it would mean the world to Alex's family and my community if you could help them continue his legacy. This is a quick message for those of you who don't follow the Stone Chronicles and therefore do not already know this:
          
          Getting updates out has clearly been a struggle this year, but it kinda has to do just as much with frequent writer's block as with lack of free time. I've started rereading some of my old writing (AKA Escape) and came to an astounding realization: my writing was quite different in 8th grade. How would I describe it, you may ask? In one word: bad. In two: not good. So, I'm going to try something new. 
          
          To try to help me with writer's block and add some variety to what I'm working on, I'm going to continue working on the Stone Chronicles while also working on a rewrite of the Book Attack Series! More information about that will be sent out through my profile once I'm further down the road, so stay tuned!

The world lost a great man today: one of my biggest heroes. I ask all my fellow Potterheads and everyone else who loved his work to raise their wands for Alan Rickman. We will always remember you. Always.

Hey all. I feel bad for not updating you sooner, so sorry about that. 
          
          First off, my birthday was last week so I'M SIXTEEN NOW YAY!!! And I get my class ring on Thursday! #officiallyjunior
          
          But that's not important. I've been having one of those writer's blocks where you know exactly what you want to write, but you don't know how to write it. Everything just looks crappy. So I'm close to finishing Chapter 2 of "The Woman in Red", but I'm not QUITE there yet. 
          
          Since the school year started today and I'm officially an IB Diploma Candidate and ROTC officer and all that fun stuff, I'm gonna have a lot of crap happening. So to make things easier for me and y'all, I'm suspending my updating schedule. DUN DUN DUN!
          
          From now on updates will come when they are ready. The only set thing is that if I write two chapters in one day or something like that, I'll update, and then have a set THREE DAY WINDOW before I post the next one. That way, there's still a wait and I still get to make you jumpy and sad. :-) 
          
          So yeah, that's how things will be running from now on. Hopefully I'll have that next update done in a few days at most. We'll see. Thanks for being awesome munchkins.
