Maggie Secara has always been a lover of folklore and fairy tales, so fantasy is her natural element. In her writing she looks for the mythic elements in the every-day, often with a twist of humour. Some of her stories are in in New Realm and Unsung Stories magazines, as well as Forest of Dreams and Speculative Valentine Drabbles anthologies. Her latest novel, The Mermaid Stair (from Crooked Cat), is the third adventure in the Harper Errant fantasy series that started with The Dragon Ring and King’s Raven.  
 
Maggie and her very understanding husband live with their cats, hats, and remote control cars in Los Angeles, California.
