The Malaysian-Born Major Azfar Raziq TUDM started his flying career with a passion for seeing the loud and majestic Hawk 208/108 and F-5E flying above his house almost every single day.  He carried that passion through school and aimed to enter the National Defense University of Malaysia. With a flying colour result (8A and 1B) Azfar immediately set to enter his dream University.

Pegawai Kadet Azfar is what he was known when he entered his dream University in 2009. Azfar later was up ranked to Leftenan Muda Azfar after finishing his first of five years at the National Defense University of Malaysia. He had taken the Degree in Mechanical Engineering to pave the pathway to his pilot career with the Royal Malaysian Air Force.

Finishing his degree, the now Leftenan Azfar TUDM is stationed at Institut Penerbangan 1 or 1 Flight Training Center in RMAF Alor Setar, Kedah. He is taught by his instructor in flying the Pilatus PC-7 Mk I, and he was on top of his class showing off his flying skill. Later that year, Azfar had graduated with his Flying Wing. He is now onto the Lead-In Fighter Training or LIFT. 

The now Kapten Azfar TUDM was selected to the No. 18 Squadron stationed in RMAF Butterworth flying the F/A-18D. He was mentored by his squadron members on how to fly the 29 Million USD aircraft. 4 years after that, Azfar is now a Major ranked and one of the senior officers in the No. 18 Squadron alongside the mentor when he first started flying and to this day he is flying the F/A-18D.

Major Azfar is now a start-up writer aspiring to write his experience in flying for his country and protecting it. Other than that, Azfar also loves to write about aspiring females of the Fighter Pilot community trying to get their heads up in this male-dominated industry. Azfar will be writing in both, Bahasa Melayu and English. As of today, Major Azfar has written his first story, "Keranamu"; A story about a female breaking the stereotypes of gender in a male-dominated field.
