Okay so—confession.

I literally just finished the final episode of Season 2 of the Percy Jackson show and I am not okay.

That plot twist??? Absolutely wrecked me.

It gave me the most unhinged idea: I genuinely want to write an alternate version of my story where Hwan follows the show’s canon instead of the book’s.
          	Because listen.

Hwan already hates Zeus in Book 1 for not saving Thalia, turning her into a tree instead of helping her. But if it wasn’t mercy at all. if Zeus turned her into a tree because she refused to obey him. Because she wouldn’t become his weapon.
          	That changes everything.

Hwan would still never join Luke—Annabeth, Percy, and the others are his anchors—but I cannot stop imagining a version of the story where his hatred is sharper, more personal. Where he finally meets Zeus at the Winter Solstice and doesn’t just mock…but attacks him.

No hesitation. No fear. Just years of resentment and grief snapping all at once.

I don’t know if this will become a parallel book, or just something that lives in my brain forever—but I needed you all to know because I am this close to doing it.

If this ever becomes real…You were warned.
