I am Maniac Mike and I'm a wrestler, writer, journalist, TV host, and promoter. I have also refereed, did commentary, and managed. I'm a big fan of science fiction and the superhero and comic book genre, especially the old school way. There are a lot of short lived and one season wonder television programs that I'm still into, like the 1980s sci-fi, alien, teen, high school, and action crime drama known as The Powers of Matthew Star with Peter Barton as the title character, and acting legend Louis Gossett Jr. Friday the 13th star, Amy Steel, was also a part of the cast. The program aired on NBC and has ties to Star Trek and Die Hard. The last broadcast episode of the '80s site by series was its original pilot. For those who don't know halfway through the season, there was a format change. The old movie by Joe Camp, the creator of Bengie, called The Double McGuffin (though not a science fiction film), also has an influence on me as far as storytelling and its old school way and different times, it appeals to me. Plus Benji himself has a cameo appearance. This film as well Matthew Star are examples of the "good old days," especially ones that time forgot about.
