@nrturner123 No problem, I'm enjoying writing it! I haven't made it exactly clear who the stranger is, but if you've seen the TV show "The Walking Dead" I'm implying that it is Daryl Dixon. If you haven't seen the show, that's completely fine! But Daryl wouldn't hurt an innocent girl, so I'd say she's safe with him.
