@Greylon - Thanks so much for the note. Glad you enjoyed it and that it helped re-inspire some of your own writing. That's great to hear. I read your brilliantly dark short "A Christmas To Die For" and quite liked it - nicely done!
            
            Yeah, I added a number of real writers that I personally know as a fun "hat tip" to them and then couldn't resist the tongue-in-cheek references to myself while having fun with it. It was cute when the story was on the blog, but when it came time to create the book version, my editor and I debated for a while whether or not to cut the Mark Leslie references. We thought it was an interesting odd self-reflective piece, so ended up keeping it in, just for that strange multi-dimensional layer . . . .

@Serendipitousbeauty - Thank you. Very kind of you to say. Your poetry has a raw honesty. I particularly liked the last line of Veil of Darkness. I sincerely hope that you keep writing.

@Mark_Leslie - That's awesome. I have my novel being turned into audio right now on Audible with royalty share. I don't have the time to read as much as I use to and so I consume a lot of audio books. I may have to check that out when it's released. 

@Mark_Leslie I thrilled for you and hope you have the best of luck with this.  I listened to part of the prologue and will listen later.

@CraigAPrice - Yes that is me. I also have another in your market, Diamonds Under a Hickory Tree, but that is through Draft2Digital. 
            
            I did want to put my novel up everywhere for pre-order to come out after my exclusive... but I researched and found it wasn't a good idea because if glitches happen I'll breach the contract. I guess I could put it up and do everything but publish. (keep as draft) I may look into that. 
            
            The 2.5 million reads was very uplifting for me. As were the 17,000 votes and over 1000 comments on it. This is of my novel, The Crimson Claymore. Especially since I've wanted to be an author since the first grade. I had excellent positive feedback and told me if I only knew grammar I would have a great publishable book. (hence the editor I have now.)
            
            Speaking of that, I did have a question for you now that I've looked at your book on Amazon. I see it is priced at $4.99 and is free on here. I "unpublished" a lot of my chapters on The Crimson Claymore because I was worried about it being free to read here. Since this is not a retailer, am I false on this? A lot of my reviews and votes are hidden because of the chapters I've unpublished. I would really like to keep it here for the large fan base I've accumulated here for my series. 
            
            I have unchecked the auto renew on Amazon and I believe February 17th will be its last exclusive day. 
            
            Thanks for your prompt response, and I'm continuing to learn more about Indie Publishing. I'm still a bit behind on TCP, SPP, and RSP but they're lovely to listen to and absorb while at work.

Had a big month in November through Kobo and then quite a jump in December, too.  Looking forward to hanging out non-virtually again sometime in the future when the world traveler makes it back to my part of the world. Or I make it to his!
