T. S. Eliot once wrote, "good writers borrow, great writers steal." 
My love for reading started early in childhood when limited by polio. Books and daydreaming became best friends who took me where I could not go. As I recovered, a favorite reading place was the attic of my grandparents' store by a small barred window under a light bulb strung from the ceiling. And, because I lived in a culture filled with mystery and religion, in me developed a fascination for the supernatural, mysticism, prophecies damsels in distress that overcame their distress. So, I seek books about saints, creation, mythology, and history.

Once my feet and legs were free from the leg and back braces, part of my therapy included pool exercises and dance. After high school, I became a fashion model and dancer. I met my late husband Victor in Chicago where my agent booked me for a grand-opening. Victor lured me with his love of reading and the poetry he wrote. While he worked in his construction business, I was a stay-at-home mom, but also took college classes, hosted a T.V. show, taught dancing, and later while earning my counseling degree, volunteered as a counselor. 

Writing, from loving to read, filled my longing and kept me from desperation when Victor passed away in my arms, from a massive heart attack after a triple by-pass, as I waited for paramedics, he was only 49; I went, to put it mildly, nuts. 

I took a promotion and moved. I thought I could never fall in love again when I met John, my amazing husband of twenty-seven years. My 30-year career in government service started as a clerk and for the last twenty years was a Research Analyst. 

After retiring, I wrote poetry and short stories, took writing assignments from Examiner.com and CBS Sacramento, until with other writers, after attending a conference, started a writer's group, and that is when I began VIRGINS, which is now the third book of my On Wings Of Immortals.
