This is just a few preliminary words about me. All my life I've wanted to write and somehow life has got in the way. Well, the time has come!
In fact, I'm writing all the time, one way or another, online and off. But I've never written the book I announced at the age of seven that I was going to write. Well, actually, I did when I was seven. And 8, 9, 10. Then other things took over.
I'm the mother and grandmother of a large family. My interests are wide and varied, and I'm curious about everything, but my great love is birds and everything in nature, from the stars right down to the smallest creature on earth. I like nothing better than to go out for a long walk, binoculars round my neck, to see what I can see. I'm fortunate enough to live near places where birds are in their element, a local marshland, the coast, beaches, estuaries, wild moors and high exposed rocky cliffs. I love the wind in my face!
Another great love is history. Again, I'm curious. I want to know what happened and why, and especially I seek to understand. The history of place is part of that.
And the same urge to understand why motivates me to be keenly interested in science and current affairs. Space exploration is exciting! Sci-fi too! I love music and films, particularly the big blockbusters of Star Wars and Tolkien's Middle Earth, but also good Westerns and thrillers, historical dramas if they're good, Harry Potter, well, everything,
I play chess. Not very well.
That'll do for now. More, perhaps, later, but tomorrow I hope to start to write. Discovering how to fit it into my day is going to be the thing, and that, really, is what motivated me to take the Wattpad plunge!
Thanks for reading this, if you have, and I'll look forward to meeting you and reading your works!

@rosaimee Thank you! Navigation is my main problem so far, and I'm accessing Wattpad from different devices, so it varies, but I'll get used to it!View all Conversations
