To those of you who write fanfiction, do you somehow find a way to ask for permission to use the characters, or do you just credit the owner of the characters?

@RotsenBrito9 Are you planning on transferring some of my stories to your book? If so, I’m not so sure I’m okay with that. Feels almost like you’re  copying my stories.
