Massoud Abbasi was born in 1982, in Tehran, Iran. His family fled war to Turkey in 1987, where they were refugees, until arriving in Canada 1989. He holds a BComm, BA Philosophy and an MBA in Finance from McMaster University.  A successful finance professional and aspiring philanthropist, he is an increasingly influential public figure in Toronto. Upon the death of his father in 2013, a writer and journalist, he became inspired to follow in his footsteps and pursue his own passion and lifelong dream of becoming a writer. He left his job and began penning his debut novel, Seeker of Horizons, which will be published in spring 2014.
