Hey everybody, I just wanted to tell you that I'm currently thinking of taking a break from Wattpad.
I started here half a year ago to improve my writing and share my works with you, mainly just for fun but also to get better at writing in general. Unfortunately I feel like being on just another social media platform where it's all about competition, getting likes and followers, winning contests to get noticed and "hustling harder" to become somebody, which actually feels like a lot like work and takes away the fun of writing...
Though I got some positive feedback on my stories, I don't feel like it's going to get somewhere soon without putting a LOT of time, energy and effort into all this, which I currently just don't have for it.
On top of this there have been some incidents which made me question if I even fit into this community at all, with people acting up and behaving like minors.
Maybe it's just not my style, maybe I'm already getting old, who knows?
Anyways, thank you for your time. I'm not completely gone here for now but will take my time to reconsider what to do. Have a great december, everybody!
