To those following me: After nearly a year away, I have posted the first part of a new short story. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to give it a read, and let me know what you think. I welcome any constructive criticism.

@MatthewJSwinney I've been looking at your blog, yes, I even subscribed to it. Since it's a writing/book review blog, the title should be writing related, no? Quill & Ink Writing, maybe, or something to that effect. That's probably a terrible idea, though. 

Thanks for the suggestions Jamez, I'll check those out. Here's another question: have you taken a look at my blog at all, and if so, what do you think would be a good name for it?

Ferretlp and -1812- both write some really good fantasy, as does CraigAPrice and KingBritain has written several high quality sci-fi stories. lalawebb has a good horror story, but she doesn't update very often.  Other than that, you already read essentially what I do. 

@JamesDSwinney Well, new anyway. Not necessarily better... But here's hoping.

@MatthewJSwinney Sounds cool to me, then. I'm excited to read an even better version of it. 

@JamesDSwinney Because I didn't like it. I had a very different idea, when I started out, and it was changing into something that I don't think was very good, and I wasn't sure where to go with it. I'm reworking it at this very moment, and I'm going to get a better cover and repost it with a better title.
