@Galactic_Legend I find it a little interesting sometimes. It honestly depends on the style of writing, I liked reading J.R.R Tolkein's "The Hobbit" (so much that I have avoided watching the movies because i feel as though they aren't necessary)... and I recall as a kid I read a book called "The Castle in The Attic" which I really enjoyed.
But on the other hand, I didn't really enjoy reading "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" I think it wasn't so much the story that I didn't like, as much as it was the way that the story was written.
I like being immersed into a story.... I didn't think that "The Lion, The witch, and The Wardrobe" did a good job immersing me.
I liked Tolkein's passion for giving lots and lots of detail: he did it to help immerse the reader, make them feel like they're actually there inside of the story... and he did it to the point that I really felt like I wanted to read more and more... I wanted to escape my reality and I wanted to take a trip into a magical world of adventure, and heroics....
So yes! I do love reading Medieval Fantasy (though I will admit I rarely do so), not so sure about Folklore though. If by Folklore you're talking about old German Brothers Grim tales then yes, the stuff does intrigue me, but I wouldn't say I'm particularly into reading it.
