Last week we went ice skating y’know?
At the beginning, my friend refused to leave the wall. She wouldn’t even move from the one spot she was clinging onto.
At one point, these two girls needed to get past us. They clearly had never skated much or before. The first almost fell, but I held out my hand and she grabbed it just in time.
I apologized about my friend and I blocking the way, and helped her to the other side of us. Then I held out my hand to the other girl. She grabbed on, looked me in the eye, and said **so** sincerely, “You are the nicest person I have ever met. Thank you so much.”
I actually get compliments like that a lot. But something about this particular encounter stuck with me.
Thank you, Ice Skating Girl.
