Hey everyone! I'm back from my long break. :) While I was on break, I was keeping up with school and writing a few little things here and there, but also trying to decide where I want the Saffie-Jade series to go. Well, I haven't entirely decided, to be honest. I did get to the bottom of why I don't like Heaven Is Where You Are, the reason involving both the unrealistic plot line brought into it from Thymyhn Gold and Caged to the Ground (both currently unpublished because I don't like them either) and how freakin' lonnnnnggg the book goes on (unedited draft is 305 pages so far and I haven't added a single word in four months.) I had the kind of a scary idea last night of completely cutting Thymyhn Gold and Caged to the Ground OUT of the series, then majorly adapting Eclipse My Heart and Heaven is Where You Are to fit the edit, and if I'm being honest, that would mean throwing out most of both books and putting an entirely different story in place. As much as I could say I would almost certainly like the series better without Thymyhn Gold and Caged to the Ground, I don't um... Know about you guys... Especially after reading oh some four HUNDRED pages of story that the author one day ripped out and said, "By the way, that never happened." Soooo um... I have mixed feelings, am open to feedback, and will ultimately be twiddling my thumbs over a completely different book (Lighthouse Gone Out, the rewrite) until I can make up my mind.
