how are you all doing?
with about 9 days till ambys submission close how many of you have submitted your story? O.O
i still have to. aish, college have been so busy, that i barely get any time to write beside weekends when my college is off. this week, alone, along classes i had a essay competition, a anchoring audition and a interview for our university e - newsletter team. all of which results are yet pending :')
that being said, the story i was telling you about 'Saiai' as it have been named now :) is going good, i plan to complete another chapter in these two days and start the next one hopefully. after which only two chapters would be left to write!

@MiaKurenai_2009 I think you should look after shattered wings too now It's not fair for it readers I are being patient and understanding But the efforts should be from both the sides

well, off topic, but i have been thinking about this for a while. is it just me or do you also see readers being especially hard... on men in stories?
perhaps its just me.
but i have seen often how if the same action is committed by a woman and the same is committed by a man, people tend to criticize and bash the male lead in the stories more.
let me give you a example, i went through a story which was centered around two past lovers reuniting, the male lead despised her at start because apprantly years ago she had left abruptly without telling him- the story goes on a few ten or so chapters later, we get to know she did it because her family was this big name, they were forcing her for stuff, she would have broken herself if she stayed there and potentially hurt the ml if she stayed there so she left...
the second act of story, after their recouncilation and again loving each other goes something about the male lead this time, saying stuff and making it clear that he would need to leave the fl place later on, she was hopeful, still he said things and made it clear before we get the reveal that he was also primarily doing it for her safety... if anything, he was putting her safety above his, since he would most definitely be killed if he go back, and he can choose to stay with her but that would put her in grave danger.
anyway, the story goes in ten or so chapters later it all got resolved and stuff.
my point being, if you look at it purely from a black and white lens, the FL still left due to selfish reason of protecting herself, leaving him alone without any word after promising they would never leave. the ML obvs understood her reasons and forgave her and so did the audience... if anything, they pitied her. and i mean, fair.

@MiaKurenai_2009 fandom etiquette has gotten insane lately tbh. coz once we used to atleast acknowledge how messed up it is even if we kept them like that. now it's becoming an accessory almost
@messymooncore Exactly! Being traumatised, depressed or suffering mentally is NOT hot. And attractive people, people who seem like they are working properly also suffer through all this. If anything high functioning depression is one of the most undiagnosed form of it. People are really growing to have no empathy, and when you point it out they would say 'its just fiction or characters' NO. How you treat fiction and characters is how you would treat a real person. Since when do people forget what you read and what you see shape a huge part of your life and mind.

So... today was my first day of college...
god, I am tired, since my college is kinda on a hilltop and have a lot of walking.
i was panicking so much at morning but then such a heavy rain started falling that my only worry was to somehow not slip and reach another block (obvs i didnt had an umbrella)...
@Taintedtapestry ohh! congrats! the people are pretty good till now :) obvs i did, lol, if anything i am pretty much connecting all the girls in class with each other (i want to make a lot of friends this year :) ) yup i really do gotta start carrying a umbrella with me
@gege_we yes i will remember that from now on! i am having a pretty nice time there... it's just super tiring. since i use university bus and had to leave home at seven thrity or so in morning and come back around seven in evening :')

i hope you all are doing well <3
i am so sorry for no updates on shattered wings! its just... uh yeah another idea striked again. i am right now working on another fic which is about halfway done (a cozy fix it one :)) it is proving to be challenging, mainly because, i for the life of me... cant avoid writing angst and that fic is meant to be a cozy, warm, fluffy one.
yeah... i love to torture myself.
the funny thing is that i thought i would end it in 30k words to keep it short... halfway done and we are over 30k. truly after 7 weeks my writing style have changed so much, i automatically write larger chapter that easily encompass around 5-6k words, i was trying to keep the chapters in about a 4-5 k word limit, it was working a bit... until the chapter i just finished crossed 8k T - T
anyway, just like 7 weeks I have decided I would write it completely first before publishing it while editing. sooo until then i am sorry but probably no update for shattered wings, on the brighter side there are only five chapters left on that fic (on the down side it would probably be around 25k words) so it shall be over in a few weeks.

i am also starting college from 5th of august so expect some rants because i am so nervous!
