Let me tell you a story. As a child and young man, I couldn't get enough to read. Science Fiction was by far my favorite genre and a much anticipated monthly trip to The Bookman in Orange CA guaranteed a steady supply of excellent new stories. As I grew older the real world exerted it's influence and I found myself reading less and less. But those stories were always in my mind, shaping my world view. Asimov's Foundation was my sociology class. Niven's Ringworld was my applied philosophy class. Heinlein's Stranger in Strange Land was my spirituality class. Arthur C. Clarke taught me engineering. Clifford Simak ethics.
I missed them. One day I read a news story about an exciting new technology and unbidden, a story popped into my head. Not so much a story as a character, living with this technology, and I built a story around her. Years passed before it happened again. Then less time passed and another story came out of the ether into my mind.
Wattpad has given me an outlet to share some of these stories with you, dear reader. I hope you love them as much as I do.
