I was born in Florida, lived in various places throughout the world, including Berlin as the wall was being built in the early 60's and in Okinawa during the Vietnam war, before it reverted to Japan.



I've spent extensive time in Italy, both working and for pleasure-I ran a program under contract for the Italian Space Agency from 1994-2001. My team developed, built, and installed an astronomical observatory that also performs advanced experiments measuring satellite positions as a function of time while in orbit with millimeter precision.



Overall, I had an almost 30-year career as a research physicist and was the Principle Investigator / Program Manager for a number of advanced research projects over the years, both for science (supporting Earth Sciences, Lunar Science, and experiments validating relativity) and I ran several of DoD projects the last 11 years before I quit to write and have fun full-time.



Now I write, travel, and learn new things.
