Laura Bush, the former first lady of the United States once said, "Few writers will ever write a successful first book, [even] fewer will be able to change the world through their writing" I aspire to do both.

To both write books that entertain and also make us examine ourselves, as human beings. Because we live in a time where we struggle coming up with an answer of what it means to be human, or when is it "appropriate" to be considered human. Years ago, when Michael Angelo, Winston Churchill, Martin Luther and his famous counterpart who had "King" added to his name. Even when science today tells us, that life begins the moment a zygote is formed when a sperm cell, penetrates the egg and life accelaretes faster than the speed of light. You're already formed, we only have to wait for you to manifest physically.

And thats but one of the things we can't decide on, when does a foetus stop being a foetus? How come on Mars, NASA says bacterica is a sign of life but a heart beat on earth is just a foetus? 

We need to ask these questions, the hard questions, that make you want to look away. Because if we dont, our children will ask us, "Where were you when they destroyed humanity? And created a race of emotionless, heartless beings?"

Books are time machines, you choose the date and the year and you punch it in. Then you recite the magic words "Once upon a time" then you're there. I hope I can take you to a time before, before things like racism, discrimination existed, where dragons roamed the skies, and giants walked on the earth. I hope you'll stick around so I can show you the future, not one that is dark and grim or dystopian. But one that is full of life, where we've defeated pollution, and our kids will marvel when they read books about the horrors of the 21st Century, and they'll ask, "Dad what's starvation? What's pollution? Everyone has more than enough food and climate change came and it went."
