I know Solitude. I was born in a cloudy place, in Brazil, among the mounts and what's left of the Atlantic Forest. I was raised among the high trees behind my home where I was used to riding my bike or maybe walk, alone. Nowadays, I live in Italy. In Genoa, where the only sign of nature is the polluted sea. Near the harbor, I see every day ships leaving and arriving, containers, people walking in a rush without perceiving the rest. I live surrounded by high and old buildings, with people, but alone. I do not belong to any of those places. I'm a foreigner. I do not believe anyone else who allegedly knows Solitude. Solitude is my twin sister. Solitude is my other side. And she doesn't know any of them. Who gets to know me, sooner or later, will abandon me, because no one likes Solitude, but me.
