From a young age I have been fascinated by science and technology. In particular I am interested in how technological "progress" will affect society and it this very interaction between humans and their creations, I like to explore in my writings. Most of my work is so-called mundane science fiction, set in the near future (i.e. the next two hundred years) and primarily within our Solar system.

My stories are not about people with awesome gadgets and fantastic adventures. Rather they are philosophical exercises in how people deal with a society deeply ingrained with certain technology or people trying to shape society using this new tools to their preferences.

You won't find light swords or faster-than-light travel in my writings, but you'll find conflicts between humans, including political intrigue. And as I've said, technology is both a tool to achieve human ambitions and an interference to human action.

Among the technologies I include in my work are genetic engineering, automation and robotics, and of course space flight, including the colonization of our Solar System. I use space settlements as "social labs", to explore different types of social organization - which are unlikely to be implemented on Earth any time soon.

One final word. None of the societies I describe in these stories are ever intended as utopias. Though they have all something in their favor, all have their own bigotries and all discriminate against one group or another - albeit to a varying degree. Their apparent perfections are only pretty facades, which hide a rotten building.

I hope you'll enjoy my stories and I welcome any constructive feedback, both positive or negative.
