I barely open the app anymore, finding anything worthwhile became too rare for my liking, perhaps younger people can enjoy the overused tropes since these are fresh in their eyes and offer a new horizon for them, but it’s quite the sunset for me. I hope I’m wrong and that there are still hidden gems in here, but idk if the extenuating searching around is worth the effort for such little (and often unfinished) treats. I mean, I’m not expecting a bestseller bred on this site, I draw on physical media for that, but at least some variation in the use of the standard elements and characters from stories would be nice lol :( And for the love of god, stop with this maddening and barely-veiled capitalization of the art of writing via tropification. Make your characters and their relationship distinct and authentic and avoid building them with parameters in mind of what ‘enemies to lovers’ should be. Half of the time they are not even enemies, and still they put the goddamn tag on to market it. Ffs

So my fav book since the pandemic got deleted because sb copied it and it wasn’t even completed I want to ugly-cry so bad lol And it was well written, good grammar, good descriptions, a plot that actually made sense and wasn’t cliche (which is hard to find in this platform) and fcking good characters. Damn my fcking luck lately I swear to god.

I mean as far as I know you can’t translate someone’s work without a license unless it’s for educational purposes (which don’t apply in this case) or for your own and only personal use, which it’s not the case either since the other person published the translation in various platforms such as instagram and wattpad. And I don’t know the extents of the laws that protect intellectual property in the author’s country but I highly doubt they take lightly translation and publishing without a license lol

I’ve read so much Mafia romance that I’ve become very picky and demanding with it, but honestly it’s like every book lately is shitty: it lacks plot and character depth and development. And everybody uses the same twists to try to spice up the same standard plot. It’s exasperating. There used to be better books here, more talent, more passion and more commitment. Where did all that go? Maybe I’ve just gotten too old for this shit. I don’t know...
